Sales Manager Brian Houghton, explains that growth in the laser cutting work has exceeded targets, and that a policy of keeping prices and lead times competitive has paid off by attracting more work from new and existing customers.

Founded in 1904 Coleherne Ltd's core business had been the repair and manufacture of white metal bearings, but around the mid 1980's the company recognised the need to diversify into other sub-contract areas.

Since then, there has been a heavy and ongoing investment programme in CNC machinery and equipment.

Subcontract laser cutting now accounts for up to 50% of the company's turnover.
