Being a recent IT/Computing graduate with the Open University, WML's managing director Jason Meir is applying the concepts and rules used in OOP to the manufacture of turned parts. OOP forces a more thorough data analysis, reduces development time, ensures more accurate component lathe programming, provides greater system security and avoids unintended data corruption.
Mr Meir says: "The first step in OOP manufacture is data modelling to identify all the objects you want to manipulate and the way in which they relate to each other. Once you've identified an object, you generalise it as a 'class' and define the kind of data it contains, and any logic sequences that can manipulate it."
