“INRO has had tremendous response from all sectors of engineering from the exhibition. So far we have turned 23 firm contacts into six new accounts with more potential to come. In addition to those companies that left their details with us, we have been contacted by visitors who did not make themselves known to us at the show, but have contacted us since, so the potential for more new business is even greater.

“Continuous investment in the very latest technology has also seen INRO moving into many more high technology markets, proving that heavy investment in new machines in the UK does have the advantage of winning new contracts.

“It’s interesting for us that a mixture of industries have either enquired or indeed placed orders, these include: marine/offshore, instrumentation manufacturers, plastic moulding and aerospace/defence. It was particularly pleasing to secure the marine/offshore account as this means we are working with challenging, high quality materials, for which we excel. We expect the new accounts to generate a five figure annual spend with us and with our continuing investment programme we would envisage the purchase of a further three new machining centres.

“British manufacturing is still very much alive and can compete with the very best that the world has to offer: we shall continue to build on our skills for the future. We have already signed up to Southern Manufacturing Show for February 2008 and INRO is looking forward to another successful show.”
