Protool's client base include Formula 1 teams and well-known brand names in the housewares, medical and industrial markets. Steve Hall says that going 24/7 has not only benefited these existing clients, it has also increased overall capacity so that the plant can take on new business.

Last year Protool invested over a quarter of a million in the business, mainly on state-of-the-art Objet rapid prototyping and 4.5 axis CNC machining. Steve Hall says that more is to come as the company takes on more international market share.

Founded in 2003 by Steve Hall and Spencer Carter Protool now turns over more than £1 million and employs nine staff.
