FNAQ, which was previously based in Coventry, opened its modern facilities in Warwick in December 2004. The company is unique in its pioneering introduction of 'lean manufacturing' techniques into the environment of a small engineering business and represents a best-of-both-worlds mix of traditional British engineering and efficiency standards first developed in Japan.
The combination has been such a success that FNAQ has grown rapidly since its inception. The company is continually looking to recruit more staff and has recently taken on two more apprentices.
"The last year-and-a-half have been a tremendously exciting time for all of us here at FNAQ," said Nigel Stokes. "The business grew by 25% in our first year of operation and is on target to expand by another 20% this year. Our staff levels have grown too and we now employ 22 people altogether, compared to just eight when we first opened in 2004. We are delighted to be bucking the trend and look forward to many more successful years."
While FNAQ has seen great success in the field of pressings for the automotive industry, sister company Precision Point is a world leader in its chosen field. Its Trak Rite XY and Camber Rite products are used by professional garages across the world as well as by motorsport teams both in the UK and America.
"Camber Rite, our new digital camber gauge, launched earlier this year and it has been a world-beater," said Nigel. "We've had enquiries from all over the world, including places as far afield as Australia, Singapore and even China!"
