The new laboratory contains over £300,000 worth of demonstration equipment, including low-current and high-current resistance welding systems, resistance welding monitoring and quality control products, reflow and ACF bonding systems, robotic equipment, induction heating equipment and a wide range of hand-held tools.
These products are manufactured by a range of suppliers, including Miyachi Unitek, Miyachi Peco, Janome, Ceia and Hios. The laboratory is staffed by a team of skilled engineers with many years’ experience of all precision joining technologies and also features a range of visual inspection and testing equipment.
General manager, Dave Fawcett, commented, “We are delighted with the new applications laboratory. It is a commitment to our valued customers, staff and suppliers. We aim to provide customers with effective, affordable solutions to most material joining projects – all of which can be demonstrated and developed in this new facility.”
