  • Acquisition puts Alucast on track for £10m goal

    A strategic acquisition that will allow it to set up a complete one stop shop is set to help a Wednesbury-based aluminium component manufacturer close in on a £10m turnover. Alucast, which has been supported by Birmingham Chamber-backed Accelerate, has added specialist machining to its portfolio with the purchase of Dixi Precision Components. 

  • Auto quality standard for Profin

    Midlands-based metal finishing company Profin Protective Finishing has now achieved accreditation to the only globally recognized automotive quality standard ISO TS 16949. The approval covers Profin’s full range of services and complements recent investment in expanding the company’s powder coating capability to include larger components.
