Replacing Peter in his former role of sales director is Alan McGill who will be joining the company with a wealth of experience in the precision engineering industry. Alan spent five years working with Iscar Tools before joining Mazak Machine Tools as area sales manager, a position he stayed in for seven years. Alan will be tasked with overseeing the sales function of the Jordan Engineering and developing new business leads for the company.

Speaking about his appointment, Alan said: “I’m excited to take on the new role at Jordan. I can’t wait to put my experience into action at such a respected company.”

Peter Jordan comments: “This is an exciting time to be a part of Jordan Engineering as we move forward in our three year plan, and I am delighted to be welcoming Alan McGill to the company in the role of sales director as he will bring a lot of experience to this role.”

Jordan Engineering in Gateshead is one of the North East’s leading companies in subcontract machining and precision engineering and works for major contractors and blue chip companies. The company’s services include fabrication, mechanical engineering, specialist armoured vehicle, subcontracting, precision engineering and 24 hour manufacturing processes. 

Jordan Engineering has also made significant investment in their people over the past two years including the strengthening of their First Line Management level. Ten members of the team recently achieved the Certificate of Manufacturing Management from the Institute of Leadership and Management.
