Turning and milling

  • Bigger parts and short lead times from LMS

LMS Precision Engineering has purchased a gantry loading twin-turret, twin spindle machine that allows it to produce finished components from billet with no manual intervention. The Takisawa TT200 complements the existing bar-fed twin-spindle capacity at LMS by extending the size range for automated one-hit machining from 65mm diameter up to 160mm diameter.

  • Techno Group moves on two fronts

The Techno Group, a subcontract supplier of precision turned parts to the aerospace industry and other sectors, is made up of two sister companies, both owned by Fred Moser and run by local management teams. The Group has now appointed a new Managing Director for Rugby-based Technoset and is expanding the group’s prismatic machining capabilities.

  • Oxford invests to be a key business partner

From providing a tool and cutter grinding service to the machining sector, Oxford Engineering has grown into a precision contract manufacturer with an expected turnover of £16 million this financial year.
