New show for micro manufacturing industry
03 Jan 2008
Rapid News Publications has announced the launch of MM Live 2008, a show exclusively designed for the micro manufacturing industry. Taking place at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, on 21 and 22 October 2008, MM Live will provide design engineers and micro manufacturers from all industry sectors with a dedicated source of information to help advance the use of existing and emerging technologies.
Micro manufacturing is the production of small components and products, which have not been possible until the recent introduction of groundbreaking technologies and techniques in traditional manufacturing processes. These innovative techniques enable the manufacture of smaller and smaller components with incredible tolerances and accuracy.
MM Live 2008 will focus on the mass manufacture of ever decreasing sizes of components whilst maintaining quality and precision throughout production. The announcement of this new show has already attracted great interest from companies supplying micro milling, micro injection moulding machines and micro laser cutting solutions.
Mark Blezard, Sales Director of MM Live, commented, “Designers and manufacturers are now able to break through previously impenetrable barriers in terms of size and accuracy parameters. This is a key driver behind innovation for most manufacturing sectors but particularly for automotive, aerospace, electronics and medical. Whilst jewellery and watch makers have long worked on a micro scale, these technologies afford them unprecedented savings in time whilst enabling greater production quantities.”
MM Live 2008 will run alongside the TCT 2008 Exhibition and Conference, which focuses on technologies and techniques in the area of rapid manufacturing
