Managing Director Iain Collis said “This is the third time in four years we have increased the manufacturing area and this should house the company’s growth for the next five years. Turnover has increased over the last 12 months by 30%, bringing our annual turnover to £8 million. This growth, together with other opportunities we have identified for the future, meant we were quickly outgrowing the space available. We were fortunate enough that this coincided with two units, which were being used as storage for a major DIY chain, becoming available to buy.”

Business Development Manager David Sneath said “We have recently won work on models such as the new Mini, Nissan Quashqai, Honda Civic and Honda CRV. All of these models are selling beyond initial estimates and that is good news for the UK automotive industry and, of course, for West Bromwich Tool. Investing in the latest technology has enabled us to be competitive and to win this work, sometimes even against competition from lean cost countries. The additional premises will enable our processes to become even more efficient and will allow us to take advantage of other opportunities”.
