MTTA Helps Industry to Link Up With Academia
01 Aug 2002
Many UK small and medium-sized manufacturing businesses do not, on their own, have the resources to keep up with the pace of change. A free half-day symposium on 25 September at the University of Warwick's International Manufacturing Centre, will show how mutually beneficial links between universities, research associations and industry can be established.
The Machine Tool Technologies Association (MTTA) has seen in its touring seminars 'Sharing Tomorrow's Technology Today' how Japanese, European and American manufacturers are gaining a competitive edge through established networks of industry and research centre partnerships.
Making Industry-Research Partnerships Work for You, organised by the MTTA, will be chaired by Professor Kumar Bhattacharyya CBE, who has demonstrated over his 20 years of building WMG's 'Strategic Partnerships' how industry and academia can work together to develop manufacturing's contribution to the economy.
