Trend Leads Towards Increasingly Complex Pressed Components

For over a century, Stroud Metal Company has provided integrated solutions to customers requiring the highest levels of service for volume pressed metal components. The company has responded to the trend towards increasingly complex components and assemblies by relocating, upgrading their in-house tool manufacturing facility, and committing to an on-going programme of production machinery acquisition.

Specialising in the production of light and deep drawn pressings, the Gloucestershire based company offers a full in-house service from initial design through to secondary operation work and sub-assembly. The company is fully equipped for vibratory de-burring and polishing, degreasing, electroplating and stress relieving.

Extensive warehousing facilities support the customer further by allowing strategic stockholding.

A recent acquisition is the purchase of a 130 tonne programmable logic controlled transfer press. This machine allows larger and more challenging components to be produced by allowing the total tonnage of the press to be varied or allocated to specific stages of the tool set.

Stroud Metal Company will be exhibiting at Subcon, stand M34, in April.
