Business Policy Develops a Cut Above with Laser
01 Apr 2003
Depressed markets and thin order books might put off most small companies with big plans to purchase assets in the order of £300k. Not so Rojac Engineering, where the Directors have taken advantage of the prevailing low interest rates to drive ahead their longstanding policy to develop the higher quality side of their sub-contract sheetmetal business.
Established as a sub-contract sheetmetal fabricator since 1970, and as a laser cutting service for the last seven years, Rojac's new LVD 4kW, 3m x1.5m bed laser cutting machine is a more powerful supplement to existing capacity.
The machine is ideally suited for higher quality, thin, aluminium (up to 8mm) and stainless steel (up to 12mm) fabrications.
In addition to CNC punching, folding, MIG and TIG coded welding and spot welding assembly processes, Rojac Engineering can now cut a broader range of material thicknesses, at greater speed, with superior quality, and with less operator intervention.
They operate on a 16-20 hour shift basis, so a quick turn around is normally achievable.
