UK Machine Companies Find Success in Bangkok

The Engineering Industries Association, with sponsorship from UK Trade & Investment, led a contingent of 20 UK manufacturing exhibitors to the Metalex exhibition in Bangkok in November. All the UK exhibitors received many enquiries and most said they would be returning to the exhibition in 2004.
The exhibition attracted distributors from all over the region, and as many of the world's leading car manufacturers are opening new plants or expanding in Thailand, there has never been a better time for UK companies to enter the market.
Gerry Pulford of the 600 Group (a first time exhibitor to the show) reported the sale of two CNC lathes, and large sales were also made by Bridgeport, which sold its three vertical machining centres on display.
The Engineering Industries Association has received funding from UK Trade & Investment for UK companies to attend a full programme of worldwide engineering exhibitions and missions in 2004. For further information please contact:
