Seminar Provides An Object Lesson in Selling to the Ministry of Defence

A highlight of this year's Midlands Manufacturing Exhibition will be a onehour long seminar entitled "Selling to the Ministry of Defence".

This area of business represents a market potentially worth £14billion and, although the business is there for the taking, tapping into it is an entirely different matter.

To discover "how to" you need to book a place on the seminar.

Remember, the MoD is not only about aircraft carriers and stealth fighters. Every year it buys a multitude of products and services, machine tools, subcontract manufacturing, software, maintenance services for everything from aircraft to domestic heating, logistics, clothing, even dog kennels and fencing.

The seminar is presented by the Defence Suppliers Service, this being being a part of the MoD tasked with opening up its market to a wider circle of suppliers, especially to the UK's SME's who can so often provide flexible and competitively priced services. The secret is to find out what is wanted, where and when.

These are the kinds of questions the seminar is designed to address and there could be no better source of answers than part of the MoD itself.

But be warned, similar seminars held at previous exhibitions organised by European Trade and Exhibition Services (ETES) were oversubscribed by as much as 100%, so it is important to book early in order to take full advantage.
