Mouldmaker Tooling Technologies Ltd, and Diemould Service Co. Ltd (DMS) the leading UK manufacturer and distributor of mould components, are the latest GTMA members to join emould@work, bringing to six the number of UK partners in the EU funded software R&D project. The project, led by GTMA and Delcam, also involves Spanish, Portuguese and Turkish organisations.

'Mini' by name but not in nature, the past six months has seen a doubling of Minimould Ltd's turnover and almost the same increase in additional staff and shift hours. Part of the Buckinghamshire based company's success can be attributed to a proactive design and development approach that has led to working in partnership with medical clients, Penlon, on the only single piece disposable laryngoscope manufactured in the UK.
Rapid Tool Adaptation Cures Supply Problem

Swindon based Toolcraft Plastic's experience of adapting existing mould tools to run in their own moulding machines was severely tested recently, when they received over 20 tools from existing customers whose moulders had ceased trading. Within two weeks, Toolcraft were producing mouldings from all of the tools.
