Machined Components

Addition of Smaller and Older Plant Frees Up Larger Capacity

The latest two machine additions at Millbrook Precision Engineering, Derbyshire, in March, might have seemed insignificant compared to the extensive capacity list of bigger equipment. However the addition of a surface grinder and a third table type horizontal boring and milling machine have already freed up the company's medium to large machine capacity - meaning reduced lead times and more competitive pricing on larger machined components.

Millbrook specialises in quality machined castings, fabrications and parts, and has over 30 years experience machining parts for centrifugal/reciprocating compressors and general subcontract engineering up to 10 tonnes. The company has on-site capability for: CNC machining, testing, painting and honing of components up to 2.5 metres cubed; Vertical boring up to 10ft in diameter; Turning, grinding and balancing shafts and impellers.

Millbrook's highly skilled workforce has an average 32 years machining experience, and operates a two-shift system to keep lead times to a minimum.
