This unique start enabled Agemaspark to see exactly what is required within the highly competitive metalcutting market. Involving a machine tool investment of over £500,000, the company offers an advanced machining capability that embraces: spark erosion, wire erosion, grinding, 3D milling, CAD and prototyping, together with tooling and special purpose machinery design and build.

Wire erosion capacity is provided by two of the latest models from the European built ONA range: a RE250 and a KE350. Both machines are submerged and include auto wire feed for total working effectiveness together with a maintenance free filtration system that allows for low operating costs. Maximum wire machining capacity is X550 Y350 Z400mm with weights of up to 3000kgs.

Milling provision ranges from manual Eurospark EM4 turret mills right up to a pair of VMC1000's from Hardinge. Both machines have the very powerful new Siemens 810D control and can cope with capacities of 1000/510/510mm in XY and Z.

These machines are supplied Ethernet ready and the majority of programs that Agemaspark creates are offline.

Spark erosion capability is a careful blend of Eurospark manual and three axis CNC. This selection of sparkers allows for a big intake of EDM work, and, in addition to conventional spark erosion, the company can undertake fast hole EDM drilling of holes that are 0.3mm diameter up to 200mm long, in a range of standard or exotic conductive materials.

Surface grinding, is accomplished on a fully automatic Eurospark EG2550 with a refurbished manual Jones & Shipman 540 available as required. A refurbished J&S 1300 provides precision grinding capability for round components.
