Set Up in China Brings Best Of Both Worlds

Looking to the future Stockportbased Mini Gears has decided to balance its many years of gear expertise with the growing need to reduce prices and has set up a new business in China to satisfy the demand for price sensitive components. Employing Chinese people to successfully source transmission components and machined castings and forgings, Mini Gears' aim is to offer its customers the best of both worlds.

Supplying a range of industries throughout the world Mini Gears specialises in the manufacture of all kinds of gears up to 600mm and racks up to 2m long for the power transmission industry and has over 120 machines and a team of engineers dedicated to gear manufacture.

From its UK factory the company has been developing sophisticated niche markets in industries where high precision, smaller batches and fast delivery are critical. Investments in another gear grinding machine and a bore and face grinder have been made to meet these growing demands.

On the other hand, certain lower cost items that cannot be economically manufactured in mainland Europe, will be purchased from China.

Mini Gears will continue to assist its customers with product development, and the parts will be delivered direct to the customer with substantial cost savings, documentation in English and with the Mini Gears' guarantee of quality.
