    New Sliding Heads Bring Body Jewellery Business

    Until only six years ago ACP Engineering, West Sussex, was operating successfully with 30 and 40 year old cam autos. The company resisted upgrading its facilities to CNC until it found the right sliding head machines that could compete with the capabilities of its old machines. The past six years had seen ACP acquiring on average one new Deco sliding head machine a year, each capable of lights out operation.

    Precision manufacturers Cutting Edge Components Ltd have just taken delivery of two new Citizen sliding head lathes. In keeping with the Cutting Edge name, both machines are fitted with the latest remote diagnostic tools, 13 machining axes and ultra highpressure coolant delivery.
