Water Jet Cutting Service Moves to the South West

Originally established in Kent during 2001, World Wide Water Jet (www-jet) has grown along with demand for its services. The company has recently moved, securing more factory space together with a new sales office in Devizes, Wiltshire.

Www-jet is a subsidiary of AML UK Ltd which manufacturers and supplies armour panels and security products to a wide range of customers. Also under the AML umbrella is Aviation and Marine Composites Ltd which (as the name suggests) specialises in the manufacture and supply of composite materials to the aviation and marine industry.

The water jet cutter, has been relocated along with Www-jet's laser cutter, CNC router and lathes.

Offering many operational advantages over conventional cutting technologies (such as no heat affected areas and ability to profile thicker materials than laser cutters), the water jet operates at 58,000psi giving a minimum cut width of 0.5mm water only and 1.2mm abrasive.

The machine operates on five axes to produce three dimensional finishes, achieving a surface finish ra of 0.1microm.
