Range of Ex-Stock Bi-Metal Bushes Expands

Responding to customer demand, Leeds Bronze Engineering recently extended its ex-stock range of standard sized Du & Dx type bi-metal bushes to include over 300 different sizes, both metric and imperial.
The company has manufactured bronze bushes and bearings for 30 years, and, over the last 8 years, has specialised in the manufacture of non-standard bimetal bushes (unusual sizes, different lining materials, and customised oil grooves etc).
Bi-metal bushes are thin walled wrapped bushes made of a triple layer consisting of a steel backing, interlayered with sintered bronze, and overlaid with a PTFE, or Polyacetal Copolymer. Their low friction selflubricating properties allow them to be used in a variety of applications including automotive, agricultural, and cigarette manufacturing.
