Cutting Machine's a Gas

When high quality welding and metal fabrication subcontractor H and JW Howells, Camarthen, was looking to invest in a cutting machine that would improve the scope of service capability it could offer to its customers, the choice was an ESAB Automation Hancoportal gas and plasma machine.
H and JW Howells supplies a wide range of customers in industries including aerospace, defence, mining and quarrying and petrochemical.
The flexibility, versatility, high accuracy and easy operation of the new machine is allowing H and JW Howells to provide an all round profiling capability, enabling varying cutting requirements to be satisfied on one machine. This includes the profiling of mild and stainless steel, as well as aluminium, in thicknesses ranging from 10 to 200mm.
Karl Howells, managing director says: "The Hancoportal has enabled us to quote for and obtain work in new areas, making us competitive even outside our usual 100 mile radius for customers."
