Manufacturers Need to Be Triathletes Says Alliance
01 Feb 2004
According to the Manufacturing Alliance think-tank, manufacturers must learn to run, swim and ride a bike with equal proficiency just to keep up. Britain's leading manufacturers have learnt how to survive and prosper in a climate of constant change, and will be sharing their hard-won experience at an industry summit entitled 'The Triathlete Manufacturer' to take place at MACH on Tuesday 20th April.
Glen White, CEO of Conquest Business Media, said: "Running a manufacturing company is not just a marathon, it's a triathlon. Economic conditions over the past few years have been a harsh training ground for these industrial athletes - but the ones that have lasted the course are the ones that excel across a range of disciplines. This event will give these winners the chance to share their experience and learn from each other."
MACH and SUBCON will be focal points for the UK's manufacturing industry this April. The summit will be presented by The Manufacturing Alliance, Britain's forum for senior industrialists, in association with MACH Organisers, MTA (The Manufacturing Technologies Association) and is organised by Conquest Business Media. Chairing the debate will be Mike Excell, Editor of 'Metalworking Production'.
The Manufacturing Alliance draws together Britain's prominent manufacturing businesses in order to improve and champion the cause of manufacturing by sharing experiences.
