Treatment Facilities for Stainless Steel Expanded
01 Nov 2004
Anopol (South), the Hampshire-based part of stainless steel treatment specialists Anopol, has expanded into a new factory with state-of-the-art facilities. The new premises and plant, representing an investment of over £1m, were opened last month.
The new factory occupies 1164m 2, three times the size of the previous facility. In addition to the processing tanks and equipment, major investment was made to ensure that the site was environmentally compliant - resulting in the granting of an IPPC permit, recognised within the finishing industry as no mean achievement.
The new plant incorporates a computer controlled automatic electropolishing line for small components combined with the UK's largest electropolishing tank and an even larger pickling tank, served by a 15 tonne overhead crane.
