Plans for Expansion
01 Dec 2005
In 2006 Claro Precision Engineering Ltd will acquire additional production space at its Knaresborough site to accommodate increased production. The extension of the premises by the company which manufactures a wide range of machined components, kits and assemblies for the medical, aerospace, instrumentation, defence and microwave sectors, will facilitate the installation of new equipment.
Claro is confident that, with the capacity to take on more contracts, a number of new jobs will be created.
The equipment, which will be installed in early spring 2006, will enable Claro to CNC mill items up to 1500mm.
The latest announcement follows the purchase less than 12 months ago of a £250,000, five pallet Matsuura horizontal machining centre, which has allowed the company to successfully accommodate horizontal milling for the first time.
