New Lathe Increases Capacity for High Quality, Small Batch Work Gears

Beard & Fitch, Essex, specialises in gear grinding and shaving, the manufacture of spur and helical gears, worms and wheels, in addition to general machined parts.
The company has recently purchased a Pinacho Mustang 200SK CNC lathe, which has increased capacity for small batch work of high quality gears.
Beard & Fitch's full machining facility includes: CNC turning and milling, broaching, gear cutting, cylindrical grinding and gear grinding. The added benefit of the flexibility of the new Mustang is that it releases other CNC machines for higher volume work.
Established in the middle of the 19th century, Beard & Fitch has proved to be innovative in investigating new manufacturing methods to improve the product quality and service on offer to its broad customer base. Applications served include, automotive, pumps compressors, vintage cars and general machine spares in materials ranging from plastics, aluminium, and phosphor bronze to general steel.
The company also manufactures a variety of finished products for specific OEM customers as well as manufacturing products under licence.
In collaboration with third parties products, such as the Rotakin CCTV test target, are manufactured and marketed by Beard & Fitch.
