Additional Hand Spinning Lathe Extends Capability

Despite advances in spinning technology, Ardent Spinning's original hand spinning machines remain the prime manufacturing technology that continue to provide customers with exactly what they want. The recent installation of a reconditioned hand spinning lathe extends the company's capability to produce components up to 2m diameter.
Graham Dent set up Ardent Spinning from scratch in Halesowen, West Midlands, in 1984 and has been committed to producing quality metal spinnings to a very high standard ever since. "As a small company we can offer a personal service. We're just a small business ticking along", he says.
Mr Dent added: "We give our customers the reassurance that their requirements will be interpreted correctly, with the resulting product being dimensionally and aesthetically correct."
New business continues to be generated by referrals, with the majority of orders coming from the filtration industry. A large volume of components produced is for filters for air conditioning units, buses and trucks.
Typical Products in a range of materials including mild steel, aluminium, stainless steel, brass and copper, include: chimney cowls, lids, dished ends, circles, hemispheres, domes, canisters, cones , rampipes, flanges, covers, bell mouths, bezels, tube flaring, air intakes, end caps.
