Early this month, Toolmasters based in Deal, Kent took delivery of a Prima 4kW Platino laser cutting machine to improve production efficiency and competitiveness.
Already a laser user, the sheet metal fabricator is aware how the technology has moved on in the past year, and believes this new machine is more than a match for the market leaders.
John Denne, partner at Toolmasters, said: "Prima is one of Europe's top three suppliers of this type of machine and offers exactly what we need, a reliable machine, with all the latest technical advancements at a cost that is within our budget, as well as service and back-up within the UK."
Toolmasters started out in the toolmaking business 20 years ago, and despite its name has evolved into a sheet metal subcontract service with three CNC punch presses, six brake presses with up to 250 ton press brake capacity, and a Trumpf laser.
The company serves a wide client base that includes: powergen, heating and ventilation, shop fitting, construction and automotive.
