Contract Services Provide Sheltered Employment

Westcombe Engineering specialises in CNC machining and small assembly processes. Formed 32 years ago by Westcombe Employment Service, a leading contractor of programmes for supporting the employment of people with disabilities, the company has recently been transferred to the Contract Services portfolio of Peterborough Council, from Social Services.

Set up for large volumes of intricate work, Westcombe Engineering has benefited from significant investment in CNC technology to produce cost effective parts, including a Takisawa machine with bar feed facilities.

Machined aluminium castings, are a mainstay of the business. In particular, Westcombe produces a wide range of parts for a large national engine manufacturer, including adapters, filter heads, elbows and spacers.
