Polymer Cluster Sponsors New Plastics Event

The Telford-based Polymer Cluster is to sponsor a brand new UK event for designers and producers of plastic products. Plastics Design and Moulding (PDM 05) will take place at Telford International Centre from 12th - 14th April and is planned to be the most innovative and progressive event to take place in the UK plastics industry for many years.
PDM 05 is being organised by Emap Maclaren and has the backing of leading UK suppliers of injection moulding machinery, ancillary equipment, raw materials, compounds and additives. Both leading international and UK injection moulders have already signed up to exhibit.
The Polymer Cluster promises visitors to PDM their most productive day out of the office - more than an exhibition, including debates, workshops, competitions, and a range of special attractions.
'Plastics Classics' includes a display of 12 products representing breakthroughs in the use of plastics, including designs that have changed the way we live, and the chance to vote on-line for an overall winner.
At the Design Resource Centre visitors will be able to look, touch and smell up to 300 different plastics samples.
Hourly machine-setting competitions, run by PTL, the polymer training organisation, offer the chance to win daily prizes and each day will start with special, themed Breakfast Briefings.
