New Laser Adds Capacity for Heavier Fabrications
01 May 2005
Toolmasters, based in Deal, Kent, offers a complete 'cut, bend and weld' service with up to 250 ton press brake capacity. A new Prima 4kW Platino laser cutting machine installed at the beginning of the year has increased cutting capacity up to 20mm in mild steel.
Higher cutting speeds, as well as 'air cutting' techniques, have improved production efficiency and competitiveness of cutting operations.
John Denne, partner at Toolmasters, is aware how the technology has moved on in the past year and understands the importance of machine upgrades for a subcontractor.
Toolmasters started out in the toolmaking business 20 years ago, and has evolved into a fabrication service with two laser cutters, three CNC punch presses, six brake presses, and a range of welding services.
The company serves a wide client base that includes: architectural, powergen, heating and ventilation, shop fitting, construction and automotive.
