CNC Milling to Microns Gives Edge to Precision Waterjet Cutting Service

The addition of a 3-axis CNC milling machine at Leicester Water Jet Ltd gives the rare capability of in-house precision waterjet cutting to 0.1mm and CNC milling to microns. The company specialises in the precision profiling of metals, composites, stone, glass and plastics.
At just under two years old, Leicester Water Jet Ltd, based in the heart of the Midlands, is developing a reputation for precision and quality of work. Most of their work is in aluminium and stainless steel, but includes other metals, composites, laminates, plastics, rubber and stone, tile and glass.
Managing director, Chris Procter attributes much of thes success so far to: Buying a very accurate waterjet machine; Extensive in-house training;
and Design and use of practical ISO 9001 (2000) procedures. Growth is such that 2006 is likely to see a move to larger premises and the purchase of another waterjet machine.
