The move at the end of this month reflects the steady increase in business and marks the beginning of the company's expansion.

    Tamworth-based Alcon is on-track to achieve record sales of over £7 million in the next year thanks to assistance from the Government's manufacturing trouble-shooter the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS). The British manufacturer called on MAS to help reduce the cost of its manufacturing processes.

Secured directly from the European Regional Development Fund, the new money has been instantly invested into the pursuit of securing new business. Now in its tenth year of operation, Accelerate has grown into one of the most successful supply chain initiatives in the UK.

    Keronite PLC, the Cambridge based high technology surface engineering company, announced the completion of a £10.2 million private placing that will secure a solid basis for Keronite's future. Chairman Nick Kuenssberg is confident that the new investors' faith in the company will be repaid as its unique enabling technology becomes increasingly understood and appreciated. 

  • New Order and Cold Heading Investment Follow Takeover

    Following a recent management buy-out, the directors of automotive components manufacturer Complex Cold Forming Ltd (CCF) has already announced plans to invest a third of the company's turnover in the first year in new equipment that will include a £1 million Formax cold heading machine, and £100,000 in an optical sorting machine. The company has already won a major new order from GM in the USA which will increase annual turnover by 25% from £3.2 million to over £4 million.

    Norfolk pressed metal experts, Ladbrook Engineering has won a contract to manufacture pressed metal parts for SCL, an important supplier to the global automotive sector. These parts will be significant components within a sport carrier design for a very well known prestige car. 

  • Two Tier Approach Brings Total Solution to Global Outsourcing Needs

    Cambridge-based Shearline Precision Engineering has spent several months conducting extensive market-research and potential partner screening in association with Cambridge consultancy, China Business Solutions. This has led to a partnership agreement with a China based manufacturing company, which has already generated interest from several of Shearline's automotive clients.
