New Press Brake Meets Growing Demand
01 May 2006
Arc Energy Resources has invested in a new £45,000 CNC Press Brake to meet the growing demand for its specialised fabrication services from existing customers. The 150 tonne press brake, which can form sheet lengths up to 3,600mm, will also enable Arc Energy to accommodate larger fabrications and handle a greater variety of work.
In 2004, new contracts and significant growth from existing customers helped Stonehouse (Gloucestershire) based Arc Energy to break the £2 million turnover barrier.
The company's fabricating and cladding skills are in demand from customers as diverse as BAe Systems for weld overlay cladding of hull penetrator inserts for the Royal Navy's new Astute class submarine; and the fabrication of stormwater and wastewater systems for Hydro International.
The next stage of the company's development will be a move to substantially larger premises in 2006.
