Full Line Product Development Capability Extended Across Europe

ARRK Corporation is moving towards achieving its European strategic objectives to increase its Full Line Product Development Service, and also to provide a more local service to rapid prototyping customers across Europe. The company has established a new business in the Netherlands whilst also acquiring Dutch Group SPG’s patented tooling technology. In a separate deal ARRK has also secured a stake in premier Italian injection moulder HCM.
With offices in Eindhoven, the new niche ARRK operation will be known as SPG Pre-Series Tooling and Prototyping B.V. and will utilize ARRK’s existing production facilities in Europe and worldwide.
The acquisition of SPG’s patented Pre-Tension Tooling technology is for prototyping large components including bumpers and instrument panels for the automotive sector.
ARRK has also taken a strategic shareholding in Italian injection moulding business HCM Stampi SpA. Located in Turin, HCM’s expertise lies in moulds for instrument panel systems and carriers, bumpers, side panels, interior and exterior trim and under bonnet components.
Peter Rawson, European managing director of ARRK, explains: “By joining forces with one of Italy’s leading tooling companies it gives us not only access to their expertise and experience in the automotive market but it also gives us a strategic foothold and facility in Italy.”
