Rapid Manufacturing Review of the Year

On 7th December 2006 the RPMA will host its 2006 Rapid Manufacturing Review of the Year. This will take the best of the RM presentations given throughout the year and bring them together at a one day event in the heart of London.
This year saw the return of the TCT Conference to its former self, focusing on primarily on Rapid Manufacturing applications. It also saw the 1st International Rapid Manufacturing Conference held at Loughborough University. This proved a great success with speakers coming from across the world to talk about research in this field. Another research focused conference was held by Buckingham Chiltern University College, at The Centre for Rapid Design and Manufacture in association with the Lancaster Product Development Unit at Lancaster University. Here the focus was on young researchers in this field.
The Rapid Manufacturing Association has taken what it believes to be the cream of the papers from these three conferences and organised a one day seminar, to allow the "Best Of The Best" to be presented at the IMechE, 1 Birdcage Walk, London. The paper that in the view of a panel of judges provides the most interesting and informative presentation will be awarded a prize.
There will be two awards; one to the best research based paper and another from an industrial application perspective.
