Shoulder rolling is a new process for metal joining of flanges, collars and gears to shafts.

Shoulder rolling is carried out on modified thread rolling machines, the set up costs for the process are inexpensive and the cycle times are fast – often under 12 seconds. The process offers fast cold metal deformation, accurate location, inherent strength and benefits from no heat distortion. Shoulder rolls are designed for specific applications and give long product life.

The company is a recent new member of BTMA and its innovative new process may bring benefits to fellow members. H R Adcock are predominately a manufacturer of CNC sliding head turned parts and assemblies supplied mainly to the automotive industry.
