Auto Russia 2007

AutoRussia 2007 – the third annual conference, an international forum for automotive businesses in Russia and globally, takes place on 4th-5th of December in the Astoria Hotel, St Petersburg, Russia.

More than 300 senior representatives; leading figures in Russia’s automotive manufacturing sector, including leading OEM projects in the St Petersburg area, as well as senior representatives from auto OEMs and T1s around the world, will meet at the conference to discuss their current projects and future plans.

This is the second time this year AutoRussia 2007 is set to welcome top level executives and their senior managers from the 5 OEM projects in St Petersburg, including: General Motors, Suzuki, Avtovaz, Ford, Toyota and dozens of their key suppliers. They will be joined by Maxim Sokolov, Chairman, Committee For Strategic Projects & Investments, CITY OF ST PETERSBURG & Grigory Dvas, Vice Governor, Econoly & Investment, GOVERNMENT OF LENINGRAD REGION, who will set out the objectives of the regional government to further attract and incentivise automotive investors in and around St Petersburg.

A focus on sourcing & supplier localization in Russia will be lead by executives from the world’s global OEMs during the roundtable discussion groups in the afternoon of the 4th of December. Top purchasing and supply chain executives will be answering delegates’ questions and networking in a less formal atmosphere.

Supplier localization, quality and supply chain issues will be addressed by senior representatives of Lear, Tenneco, Intercos IV.

The conference is delighted to welcome a delegation of senior purchasing and supply chain professionals from General Motors Russia, who will be networking and answering delegates’ questions on the 4th of December.

Two new projects will be represented on the speaker panel: Stadco and Magna/GAZ joint venture will both speak about their strategies, plans and progress in setting up production in Russia and working with Russian suppliers.

The conference is followed by an official visit to Tenneco and Intercos IV in St Petersburg. Here, the top management of the plants, along with their production teams, will welcome everybody, show them the production facilities and answer any strategic and practical questions delegates may have. The delegates will visit all parts of the production facility together with the managers of each shop in the plant.

AutoRussia has the full support of St Petersburg city and the regional governments. Speakers from both organisations will give keynote presentations on their vision for the automotive industry in the region, and participate in the conference to meet the delegates, establish new contacts and answer any further questions personally.
