Annual Industry Survey Launched
01 Feb 2007
The SBAC has launched the annual industrial survey of the UK aerospace. The Survey is an extremely important indicator of the health of the UK aerospace sector and data from companies will make a difference.
SBAC together with its regional partners, is very keen to secure highest level of participation. Who should complete the survey? All UK located companies involved in the production of goods and services to the UK aerospace industry, both civil and defence.
The survey provides both a snapshot view of the industry in 2006 and a reliable source of time series information for looking at the industry over time. Industry and government see the survey as the key source of information on the UK aerospace industry, covering all sectors from missiles to large civil aircraft to space.
The results of the survey are published every year in the summer, and give benchmark results for the industry as a whole. The survey is used by a wide variety of users, from government departments and ministers through to individual companies wanting to benchmark themselves against the national level. It is widely reported in the national, broadcast and trade media throughout the year.
The survey form is easy to complete and it should not take more then half an hour for a small to medium-sized company to complete. The survey form and explanatory notes can be found on the SBAC website.
