Auto Suppliers Accelerate Toward Industry Awards

The largest automotive awards competition in the UK came to a glittering finale last week, with a traditional Black Country forge, an engine propulsion specialist and one of Toyota’s best suppliers securing the major honours and £25k in prize money.
Over 650 industry delegates were on hand to celebrate the final of the Accelerate Supplier Awards, with Victoria Drop Forgings walking off with the Small SME title. The company impressed judges with its commitment to world class manufacturing and a strong desire to win new business both in the UK and overseas.
Victoria Drop Forgings, which employs 17 people at its site in Willenhall, has increased efficiency considerably and, as a result, is expecting turnover to top £1m this year. There are even plans to build a new forge to make larger components.
