Manned space exploration to boost British engineering

Engineers at Hi-Tech innovation firm Magna Parva have welcomed Government plans for Britain to engage with manned space exploration programmes. They say proposals for Britain to play a greater role in manned space exploration will advance engineering technologies and innovation.
The Government recommendations from the UK Space Exploration Working Group have been made in response to the Global Exploration Strategy to provide a comprehensive global approach to space exploration.
Shaun Whitehead, Magna Parva systems engineer, comments: “Britain’s previous lack of involvement in manned space exploration has prevented the country from reaching its full potential in space research engineering, but these proposals will provide opportunities for hi-tech industries and innovation companies in Britain to progress technologies and compete in the global market economy.”
