Degreaser helps turn the screw on SED

With the solvent emissions directive (SED) set to come into force on 31 October 2007, turned parts specialist Tenable Screw Co Ltd has decided to take early measures to avoid potential fines by replacing a non-compliant Pero solvent degreasing machine with a new Pero V1 universal solvent degreaser from sole UK agent Kumi Solutions Ltd.

Induction hardening line saved for UK

CHTA member Meltham Mills Engineering has purchased a high-capacity induction hardening line from GKN Sintered Metals after the closure of the Lichfield site. After refurbishment, this new facility will be able to offer a complete subcontract service with high capacity at low production costs.

Projects that improve efficiency of fossil fuels to receive boost
