Heat Treatment

  • In-house hardening facility offered on subcontract basis

Berkeley & Co Ltd is one of the few manufacturing companies in the UK that operates and maintains its own production heat treatment department. This facility has been developed and improved over the last 50 years, and is now being offered on a subcontract basis.

  • Induction hardening line saved for UK

CHTA member Meltham Mills Engineering has purchased a high-capacity induction hardening line from GKN Sintered Metals after the closure of the Lichfield site. After refurbishment, this new facility will be able to offer a complete subcontract service with high capacity at low production costs.

  • Automotive accreditation leads to further compliance

Darlaston-based HHT (Midlands) Ltd secured accreditation to ISO/TS 16949:2002 for automotive production in March this year.
