Aerospace supply chain event takes off in Frankfurt

Airtec 2008, the International Aerospace Supply Fair, will take place from November 11 to 14 at the Exhibition Centre Frankfurt Main, Germany. Exhibitors include suppliers of tools, components and engineering services from all sections of the industry. This year’s event includes a number of special features including a ‘guest’ country, a focus on composites and an international conference.
Italy is the guest country at Airtec 2008, with up to 150 companies expected from all parts of Italy including suppliers of components, composites and production services for both Airbus and Boeing. Also present will be the purchasiong team from Italian aerospace giant Finmeccanica. Altogether the Italian presence is likely to cover a total of 400 to 500 sq metres.
Reflecting the growing importance of new materials, Airtec will also include a special feature area, Aerospace Composite World – covering CFK, pre-pregs, composite structures, components, procedures and applications.
The international conference ‘Supply on the wings’ will be held within Aerospace Composite World and include three days of English language presentations covering all aspects of current and future aerospace products and the aerospace supply chain. Highlights include presentations from Airbus, Boeing, Rolls-Royce and the European Commission.
Also at Airtec 2008, UAV world will include an exhibition, conference and flight competition on unmanned vehicles.
Co-located with Airtec is Business Aviation, the first international trade exhibition covering this sector.
