Arthur Sanders – a new name in contract honing

A joint venture between Delapena Honing Equipment’s contracting division and Apperley Honing has created a new contract honing business – Arthur Sanders (Cheltenham) Ltd. The venture will benefit from experience gained in Delapena’s 80 years as a leading manufacturer of honing equipment and Apperley’s 45 years as a contract honing specialist.
Under the agreement, Arthur Sanders has taken on Delapena’s contract honing business. The operation has been equipped with 10 of the latest Delapena honing machines and draws on the increased resources and expertise provided by Apperley Honing. The new venture offers a far greater capacity than was available through Delapena’s contract honing service and provides a source for larger contract honing projects. Arthur Sanders can accommodate contract honing for components from 1mm to 750mm diameter and 1mm to 8000mm length, opening the door to a wider range of applications and new markets across the broad spectrum of the manufacturing industry.
In addition to providing a comprehensive contract honing service, Arthur Sanders also acts as a merchant for the sale of used honing equipment, together with honing tooling and associated consumables.
Delapena’s Managing Director, David Arthur, stated that the launch of the company is consistent with Delapena’s business development strategy and its commitment to providing the highest levels of customer service:
