Subcon proved UK pressworker can compete worldwide

Presswork specialist H T Brigham says that Subcon 2008 allowed it to show that it could be competitive in global markets – despite the increasing trend for pressed components to be sourced from Eastern Europe and the Far East.
Exhibiting head to head with 180 subcontractors from around the world it proved that is was winning business on a worldwide stage – not just through competitive pricing, but also through quality, logistics and manufacturing expertise.
The show proved to be a great opportunity for H T Brigham to meet potential customers and discuss current and forthcoming projects.
“Exhibiting at Subcon this year proved to be a real team effort. From the planning stages right through to appearing at the NEC, the whole team got involved and worked hard to make it a success. The event produced many positive leads and new opportunities across a broad and varied spectrum of market sectors for the sales team to now explore” said Mike Pilkington, the company’s commercial sales director.
The company found that meeting face to face with visitors meant there was more potential for discovering in depth what customers wanted and the show proved to be an ideal opportunity to offer design advice and help in the development and production process.
