Established in 1992, Texturing Technology Limited provides roll grinding, electro-discharge texturing (EDT) and chrome plating for wear resistance to its core client industry of steel rolling.

Suitable for any large components requiring extremely precise measurement, the CMM is capable of handling components up to 2000x2600x1800mm, making it ideal for the verification of production tolerances across batches and the measurement of large one-off or low volume components such as large castings and machinings. Texturing Technologys CMM can also be utilised for the calibration and verification of a clients own equipment where clients do not have their own facility.

The Gantry CMM is equipped with DC motors on each axis and is capable of fully automated inspection of parts at a speed of 350mm per second with a volumetric accuracy of U3 = 12 + L/250, giving a maximum error of just 16μm per metre.

The company subcontract facility is also a perfect solution for rolling mills. Matched with Texturing Technologys chock maintenance service, the new facility provides a one-stop-shop for service and CMM measurement to reduce the high potential cost of machine failure and unscheduled downtime.

Other applications include the regular, planned and detailed maintenance of chocks and housings as well as one-off spot contracts. The service is also aimed at suppliers to the automobile and aerospace industries, which may achieve a competitive advantage by utilising the verification and certification facility offered by the subcontracted CMM service, traceable back to international standards at the National Physical Laboratory.

All work will be carried out by the companys team of highly skilled and experienced engineers who are fully trained on all aspects of the CMM. This new subcontract measuring facility from Texturing Technology will be of particular interest to a wide range of companies in a cross section of industries including rolling mills, OEMs,equipment suppliers and engineering workshops.
