Big moulding investment at ARRK Europe
The £1m machine is expected to be fully operational some-time in March
ARRK Europe Ltd has invested in a second 3200T injection moulding machine from Krauss Maffei for its Petersfield site.
The move is a response to growing demand, particularly from clients in the aftermarket, for large scale capacity.
ARRK says the KM 3200 – 33000MX is one of the most innovative, large scale, moulding machines on the market, offering the most up-to-date and efficient moulding cycles around.
Peter Kite, plant operations manager at Petersfield Technical Centre said: “This is great news for everyone, staff and customers alike. This new machine makes us ideally placed to support our customers’ needs now and well into the future”.
With a list price over a £1 million it is anticipated ARRK will take delivery of its machine in February, becoming fully operational some-time in March.
Royden Morgan, general manager for the site, said: “We are extremely happy to be purchasing one of the very best injection moulding machines available on the market as it fits in with our continued strategy of presenting our customers with the highest quality, efficiency and reliability”.
The announcement coincides with the integration of ARRK’s Tooling and Moulding operation into ARRK Europe Ltd effective from 1st October. Previously trading as ARRK Tooling Development Ltd, their integration now completes the final stage of combining all of ARRK’s UK operations into a single company.
